Challenge: Scarf Seams
Master the art of scarf seam placement! This month's challenge focuses on dialing in your scarf seam settings and techniques.
The Focus
The scarf seam is a powerful tool in your 3D printing arsenal. This challenge asks you to create a model with a carefully placed scarf seam on a sphere. Use this opportunity to experiment with different settings and share what you've learned about getting the perfect seam placement.
Submission Requirements
- Physical Model: Bring your print to the July 15th, 2026 meetup.
- Size Constraint: Your object must fit within a 75mm cubed space.
- Seam Location: The seam must be positioned on a sphere (you can use the bottom half square approach if desired).
- Settings Discussion: Be prepared to share your print settings, temperature, speed, and any tricks you discovered for achieving clean scarf seams.
